Master of Arts in Education
The Master of Arts in Education program at Ottawa University is a minimum 36 credit hour program designed to help students improve their teaching abilities. Graduates of this program can be better prepared to provide students with an enhanced learning environment, prepare and plan for change in schools, assess outcomes outside of school curricula, engage in continued professional growth, and assume leadership roles in education. Formal coursework in the program is designed to help students master and apply knowledge as well as conduct research in the various areas of education.

This master's-level concentration in Curriculum and Instruction builds an understanding of curriculum development and instructional methodology as applied to diverse learner audiences. For the convenience of practicing professionals, this program is offered entirely online. - MAED - Educational Leadership
Drawing on applied theory in specialties across educational leadership such as educational law, school finance and instructional design and evaluation, this concentration prepares graduates for roles in administration in a variety of settings, from private and public school systems to colleges and universities. This flexible program is offered online and at the Kansas City campus. - MAED - Elementary Education (non-licensure)
Geared to support K-8 education, this concentration path emphasizes field-tested approaches to topics such as engaging learners in online and onsite classroom settings and developing effective approaches to learning assessment and meeting the needs of learners with special needs. This flexible program is offered online and at the Kansas City campus. - MAED - Learning Technologies
This concentration equips students to leverage technology in education settings, exploring areas such as integrating technology into curriculum, instruction and assessment and as a tool of engagement for diverse learner audiences. This program can be completed entirely online. - MAED - Elementary Education Unified (licensure)
Designed to prepare students to support K-6 learners, this concentration examines all aspects of effective learning experiences for elementary education, from instructional methodology to learning assessment and successfully approaching special needs in learning. This flexible program is offered online and at the Kansas City campus.
