Early Childhood/Special Education
As an Early Childhood Education major, you will gain the knowledge, competencies, methods, communication skills and sensitivity to be a highly effective teacher of students from birth to 8 years old. In this program, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of early childhood and special education through participation in methods courses, professional education courses, and field experiences and observations. With the critical-thinking skills, awareness of cultural diversity, and knowledge of the social and political contexts of education, you’ll be prepared to foster the growth and development of children across the country.
