Leo Bowman
Bowman lettered in football (1952-55), basketball (1952-55), and track (1953) for the Braves.
As a member of the Braves football team, Bowman helped OU to a 20-15-1 record. He earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in 1954 at quarterback. As a senior, Bowman served as co-captain for the Braves.

On the basketball court, Bowman helped the Braves to two KCAC Championships, an overall record of 44-25, and two appearances in the Kansas NAIA Playoffs.

Bowman received his PhD from Michigan State University in 1960. He then went on to become a professor in chemistry at Southwest Minnesota State University. Later, Bowman went on to Arkansas Tech University where he was the chairman of the chemistry department and dean of physical and life sciences from 1978 to 1997.
