Eldon “Ash” Aeschliman was a four year letterman (1954-57) for the Braves on the football field. He helped the Braves to a 13-22-1 record and earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors in 1957 as an offensive lineman. Aeschliman also was given the Thomas E. Trigg Memorial Award that was given to a student-athlete that showed sportsmanship on and off of the field.

He also spent two years as a member of the track and field team (1954-55). In 1957-58 Aeschliman served as basketball manager and was “O” Club president.

Aeschliman served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He then taught high school and coached football, basketball and track. Aeschliman was a State Farm Insurance agent and was a high school official for football and basketball.
