As a 4-year letterman and 3-year starter on the Braves basketball team, Dan Chapla earned All-KCAC honors as a guard his junior and senior years. He was also an Honorable Mention NAIA All-American, a District 10 First Team Selection, an All-KCAC First Team Selection, a District 10 Championship Team Selection, a District 10 Player of the Week, and a KCAC Player of the Week his senior year. Dan led the team in steals and assists his senior year, helping them advance to a NAIA National Tournament appearance. They finished the year second in the KCAC. Throughout his OU career, Dan amassed 293 career assists (5th all-time at OU), 120 career steals (13th all-time at OU), 29 double-digit scoring games, and a career-high 22 points versus Kansas Wesleyan as a senior.

Current/Past Business, Profession or Occupation:
Dan has been the head women’s basketball coach at William Woods University since 2008, the same year he was voted American Midwest Conference Coach of the Year. During the 2010-11 school year, he set the school record for wins with 30-5 and has led the team to six straight national tournament appearances. Previously he served as head women’s basketball coach at Culver-Stockton College from 2003-2008.

Current/Past Community Involvement:
Dan has volunteered at Bartley Elementary School in Fulton, MO, as well as for the “Little People’s” golf tournament in Quincy, IL. He is a member of the WBCA (Women’s Basketball Coaches Association) and the MSHSBA (Missouri State High School Basketball Association).
