Braves Athletic Hall of Fame Adds Two More

The Ottawa University Braves Athletic Hall of Fame inducted former basketball players Jody (Turney) Corpe and Cavazos P. "CV" Cummings during induction ceremonies on Friday, October 2. The citations that were read at the ceremony are below. Congratulations to the new inductees.

For your outstanding record in Lady Braves basketball at Ottawa University;
 
For progressive honors and performance within
the Kansas College Athletic Conference, to include
selection as Honorable Mention All-American,
two-time selection as All-American and All-District #10,
and three-time selection as 1st Team All-KCAC;
 
For becoming OU’s all-time career leader in
points scored, field goal attempts
and field goals made;
 
For setting the all-time season scoring record,
the all-time season points per game average
and the all-time season field goals made;
 
For achieving second in all-time career points averaged per game,
all-time career free throw attempts,
all-time career free throws made,
as well as second in all-time season field goals made;
 
For achieving third in all-time career rebounds,
 all-time season game scoring
and as season leader in scoring;
 
For centering your life’s work around health and fitness
and educating others about their benefits;
 
For these and other notable accomplishments, the officers and members
of the Braves Athletic Hall of Fame proudly induct you into the

For finishing your OU basketball career with the
all-time career points record (1885)
and all-time field goals made (770);

third in all-time field goal free throw attempts,
and fourth in all–time career steals and free throws made;
 
For moving Braves basketball from competitive
to championship caliber and helping put
OU basketball back on the national scene;
 
For your continued commitment to athletics
