We’ve probably all been on the winning side of a trade at some point in our lives – getting a prized baseball card in exchange for a marble, or a coveted motorcycle for a beat-up truck. Undoubtedly we’ve all been on the losing side at some point, as well. But with stakes much higher than a baseball card, Al* ’09 WI is a living testimony that, with a lot of perseverance, it’s possible to “trade up” in life despite overwhelming hardship and loss.
